About Us
“Paseo sa Kadagatan” began with a simple love for the sea and the vibrant charm of Dumaguete City. What started as a small passion project among local travelers and storytellers soon grew into a full-fledged tourism initiative, dedicated to showcasing the city’s hidden gems, coastal beauty, and culinary wonders.
Founded in 2025, our goal was to create more than just a travel website. We wanted to build a digital space where visitors could experience Dumaguete before they even arrived; through stories, photos, and local insights that capture the city’s soul.
The name “Paseo sa Kadagatan” which means “A Stroll by the Sea”, reflects the essence of Dumaguete: calm, welcoming, and full of life. From the tranquil Boulevard sunsets to the lively public market flavors, every feature on our platform is inspired by the rhythm of the sea and the warmth of its people.
Today, Paseo sa Kadagatan continues to celebrate Dumaguete’s unique blend of nature, culture, and cuisine. We connect travelers to authentic experiences, local guides, and must-try destinations, helping everyone discover why Dumaguete is known as the City of Gentle People.

Let's Explore Dumaguete!

Rizal Boulevard
Your front-row seat to Dumaguete’s charm!

Rizal Boulevard is Dumaguete City’s most iconic seaside spot, a vibrant stretch where the calm of the ocean meets the city’s lively local life. By day, it’s a peaceful place for morning jogs, bike rides, and quiet strolls under the palm trees. By night, it comes alive with glowing lights, music, and the laughter of friends gathered by the sea.
Here, you’ll find street food stalls serving local favorites like tempura, balut, and squid balls, as well as souvenir shops selling handmade crafts and t-shirts that celebrate Dumaguete’s charm. Along the walkway, massage stalls offer relaxing seaside massages, and nearby open spaces host free community activities like pickleball and Zumba sessions, all open to locals and visitors alike.
With its ocean breeze, friendly vendors, and stunning sunsets, Rizal Boulevard perfectly captures the heart of Dumaguete — simple, welcoming, and full of life. It’s not just a place to visit, but a place to feel at home.

Silliman University

Acacia Trees
Founded in 1901, Silliman University stands as one of the Philippines’ most historic and scenic universities. Known for its iconic acacia trees, red-roofed buildings, and seaside views, the campus is not just a place for learning, it’s a living landmark that reflects Dumaguete’s gentle charm and academic pride.
Visitors can stroll through the tree-lined pathways, explore the Silliman Hall, one of the oldest American structures in the country, and visit the Silliman University Anthropology Museum, which showcases artifacts from Negros Oriental and beyond. The campus also offers a peaceful atmosphere perfect for sightseeing, photography, or simply relaxing by the sea.
